I am getting ready to buy a b6000 and need some info if anyone has it. I already have a few machines and was looking to buy this just for kicks. It's older and has a loader on it. the loader "whines" up and down and was pretty slow. I know it was cold outside buy my bx doesn't make much noise. The loader seemed pretty strong with down pressure but the up pressure was fair. It's a small machine so I don't expect much. No power steering and there is some play in the wheel side to side. It runs well. The oild was nasty and needs a change badly probably the reason the "red light" on the dash is on when the rpm's were low. No unusual smoke. The only other thing wrong was the bucket has lots of holes in it. Needs major welding or replacement. The 3 pt hitch is all there including the top link. 4x4 works fine, good ag tires all around, newer decent paint job. It's old but it's all there. Does anyone have a clue what a price range on this would be? I don't know if it's worth $1,000 or $5000. any help is appreciated. I know the guy selling it and he's not sure what to even ask for it.

Thanks....Jim

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is the one Kubota model where the PTO spins backwards. If you plan on using any PTO driven 3PH implements, you need to find original Kubota attachments for this model. For this reason, most people avoid this particular model. ....

There are actually 2 of them, one is a gray market machine not intended for the usa, the other(this one) is a US intended machine. They have 2 called the b6000 and they are very different. I can buy this thing for 2600 bucks and it runs and operates good. the onmly thing is the whine in the hydro lift for the loader. Not sure if it's common on these older machines. ....

I have a '78 B6100. I don't have a loader but the 3ph whines some when it's cold. The original spec for tranny/hydraulics was for 80/90 wt gear lube. Kubota now recommends UDT for this. I made the switch and it help with the noise a lot.
